Katherine was born in Olongapo City, Philippines; the youngest child with four older sisters and one brother. Now residing at Cavite, Philippines, with her live-in partner and lovely fur babies, Kath grew up fearlessly venturing into a life of independence ever since her parents were separated. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending quality time with her partner, eating scrumptious food, going on exciting road trips and playing with her dogs.
Last August 11, we had the opportunity to ask Kath a few questions which delve into her experiences from before working at PrimeTime to what she does today as a Logistics Coordinator. Read on to learn more about her story!
A BRIEF FLASHBACK
I have been working for almost 5 years in a cooperative owned by retirees of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. I started as a bookkeeper. Though it was not in line with what I have completed in college, it was still a good start to my career since I was able to financially support and give back to my family.
Previously, I also managed a Mobile Office that had gone well until the Chairman of the company decided to transfer me to the Head Office. Under this reassignment, I handled the importation and exportation of aircraft and its spare parts as a Licensed Customs Broker. It was a wonderful experience working for this company. They offered several incentives, bonuses and allowances for their employees – I especially liked the health card and medical benefits.
Unfortunately, the pandemic happened and they proposed to relocate us to different branches. This resulted in my decision to file for a resignation and search for a better job opportunity.
THE VIRTUAL JOB HUNT
I’ve been looking for a greener pasture on different job sites for almost 8 months when I suddenly thought of looking through LinkedIn. I contemplated working abroad so I sent multiple applications and came across PrimeTime who saw my capability to fit in an international environment.

ROLE INSIGHTS:
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
I have been working in PrimeTime for 15 months as a Logistics Coordinator, handling
multiple accounts which mainly includes booking loads, cultivating relationships with carriers
and customers, tracking shipments, completing loads and furthering connections to grow our shipping volume.
NOT YOUR ORDINARY JOB
I love my current work here in PrimeTime because it clearly aligns to what I have learned during my studies in college. Traveling to work can be tedious and expensive. I believe that PrimeTime has given me work-life balance; a sense of freedom, flexibility and also the capacity to save money. Once I buy a new laptop and a fast internet connection, I can surely get through any day without ever worrying about missing work and a few obligations at home.
THE IMPORTANT QUESTION: HAS WORKING FOR PRIMETIME CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
