CONSISTENT CAREER GROWTH
Before PrimeTime, I worked for 2 logistics companies. I administered the tracking services, created accurate reports for the upper management, coordinated and monitored supply chain operations and utilized logistics IT to optimize these procedures. Both companies focused on deeply understanding the business and driving success through extensive logistics solutions.
AN UNEXPECTED EMAIL
I was just checking and mass applying for several job posts in the US when I received a text from Rob who explained his expectations and offer for the Logistics Coordinator role. I thought it was a great opportunity so I proceeded with the interview.
I’d like to think that this experience was heaven-sent because I didn’t exactly apply with this company in mind. I actually discovered PrimeTime through an email notification that said they were looking for strong Logistics Coordinator candidates.
When I had my first interview, I thought that it would be necessary to like the company culture and not just the role and salary. I need to like working here [at PrimeTime] every day. With the way Rob delegates tasks and how promising the team coordination was, I finally made the choice to work for PrimeTime when I got my contract.
ROLE INSIGHTS:
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
For tracking, it is very important to be organized all the time. You don’t just check the system and that’s it. During the day, I sort out my loads, communicate with customers and take down notes. I keep track of items that need to be rescheduled, picked up and delivered. I am aware of which packages are already in transit and I email, text or call truck drivers to get real-time status updates. Essentially, the goal of tracking is to get the latest information and disseminate it as soon as possible.
SHATTERING TOXIC WORK CULTURES
The environment and support we have at PrimeTime sets us apart from any company. When we are overloaded with work, Rob and Chris extend a helping hand. Most employers, especially owners, won’t care if their employees are struggling. They only think about profit without ever considering their employees’ feelings. Luckily, Rob and Chris are supportive managers.
THE IMPORTANT QUESTION: HAS WORKING FOR PRIMETIME CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Yes, a lot. In my previous job, I was overly stressed. At PrimeTime, I have this visible work-life balance. Our managers do not force us to meet our goals, instead, they incentivize and reward us. To reiterate, if I enjoy my job, the communication and the team I work with, I can say for sure that it’s making a great difference to my life.
PRIMETIME GRATITUDE CORNER
I’m thankful for everyone who’s helped me in PrimeTime. When I first started, using programs and GTZ technology to integrate dispatch and delivery updates were all new to me. With everyone’s help, however, I learned how to use these. I also understood that I needed to be organized, even with just my emails, and that teamwork and good communication makes a huge difference for the company to be successful.
