Pedro is happily married in his hometown at Bogotá, Colombia. He graduated with a degree in International Relations and completed an MBA program, specializing in Project Management at London, United Kingdom. As a way to stimulate his love for learning, Pedro reads books, attends seminars and finishes relevant short courses. Beyond academic interests, Pedro also practices a healthy lifestyle by designating at least an hour of his vacant time to exercise.
Last August 16, we had the opportunity to not only hear about Pedro’s personal life but to also see what PrimeTime is like from his point of view as a Lead Drayage Coordinator. Read on to learn more about his story!
OPPORTUNITY RARELY KNOCKS TWICE
Most of my job experiences were centered on logistics. To highlight my 2 biggest work experiences, the first job I had involved monitoring and ensuring the safe transportation of items from Japan, China and USA to Colombia. As for my second role, I have been assigned to the movement of containers from China to all of Latin America like Mexico and Argentina. My main concentrations are international and local logistics.
Around January 2022, I discovered PrimeTime via LinkedIn. I felt that my qualifications matched the details found on the job description, and so, I decided to apply. What made me choose this company was right after the interview proper where I got to meet Robert, Chris and Jon. They gave me a pleasant offer and made me feel that I would like the work culture. With these in mind, I pursued PrimeTime.
ROLE INSIGHTS: LEAD
DRAYAGE COORDINATOR
Right now, I am in charge of the Drayage Department. My main duties include strategizing the “final mile” for a container to get to a port and coordinating with concerned units regarding the “first mile” of a container that is expected to arrive in the US. Part of my job is to guarantee that these containers reach their designated warehouse. Drayage is mostly about container movement, from and to a port.
A SENSE OF FREEDOM AND FULFILLMENT
I believe that the culture here at PrimeTime differs from most companies because you feel happy while working. The company does not need to micromanage its employees for everyone to function and perform effectively. Another difference would be the remote setup. You can work anywhere in the world. In my case, I usually work in Bogotá but last week, I had to travel to a nearby town. I can finally visit my sister in the US without worrying that I will miss work.
THE IMPORTANT QUESTION: HAS WORKING FOR PRIMETIME CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Yes. I was usually tired from going to the office everyday. Right now, I conveniently choose to leave my house twice a week, usually to grab some coffee at a shop. This whole new experience changed my life because I feel more relaxed. I may work 8 hours a day but I am at least capable of taking care of myself.

If you are not good at this field, you wouldn’t have as many clients.
